Rajma (delicious kidney beans)

Are you a fan of beans..well I love beans as these are excellent source of protein..they are also rich in vitamins, minerals and also antioxidants..this sounds really healthy right..this time I have come with delicious kidney beans curry famously known as rajma…who does not even like rajma chawal(rice)??..thats an absolute bliss to have rajma chawal in lunch..so mouthwatering and delicious…let’s cook this yumm..


Serving-4 people

1. 2 cups of kidney beans

2. 3 onions

3. 2 tomatoes

4. 1 table spoon garlic, 1 table spoon mustard seeds, 1 table spoon cumin seeds

5. 1 table spoon chopped ginger

6. 1 tea spoon chilly powder

7. 1/2 tea spoon turmeric powder

8. 1 table spoon coriander powder

9.2 table spoon butter

10. 2 table spoon oil

11. Salt to taste

Method:-To cook rajma ..soak it atleast 4 to 5 hours before cooking..

Firstly boil the kidney beans using a pressure cooker…add the beans and double the water for easy boiling..add 2 pinches of sodium bicarbonate to soften the beans…close the lid..put it on high flame…wait until it whistles for 6 to 7 times…switch off the stove and let it cool down..remove the lid…don’t stain the water completely..remove only the access amount of water because it add a beautiful natural color to the curry and makes the taste flavourful..

Take a mixer grinder jar to make a gravy..chop the onions and tomatoes into small pieces..put it into the jar..add garlics, mustard seeds,cumin seeds, ginger and grind it well till it becomes a thick paste..

Now take a pan…put it on high flame…let it be dry…add oil…let it be hot..now add the butter…let it melt…add the gravy and stir well..cook in medium flame…add the chilly powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder into it…mix well..cook until the water content of the gravy dries up…you have to stir time to time to avoid the gravy sticking into the pan..

When the gravy is done..add the rajma or kidney beans into it..mix well..you will see a beautiful tempting color of the curry..add salt…and again cook for 5 to ten minutes in low flame..so that the flavors of the spices comes out well..sprinkle some kasturi methi if you want to and our yummy rajma is fully ready to serve..

Chana dal chutney

Welcome to my delicious Indian food garden..A garden full of greens,sauces,taste,flavor and spices.. I try to reach the most delicious and regular food recepies which serves the most authentic taste and flavor..today I have come up with a chutney/sauce recepie made using chickpea lentils/Chana dal and some peanuts..and the taste of this Chana dal ki chutney is super delicious..it is a quick recipe..you can have this with dosa or idli or dhokla or any kind of snack items.

Let’s make our delicious Chana dal ki chutney quick.


1. 1 cup chana dal/chickpeas lentils

2. 1/2 cup peanuts

3. 1 table spoon chopped ginger

4. 1 table spoon mustard

5. 3 green chillies

6. 5 to 6 curry leaves for

7. Salt to taste

8. 2 table spoon oil


Take a pan..put it on high flame..let it be dry..now add 2 tbsp oil..let it be just warm..adjust the flame to low..now add the chickpea lentils and peanuts to roast brown in low flame by stirring really well time to time…when it becomes golden brown..switch off the stove…and add 2 cups of water…soak for 10 minutes so that it becomes soft..after ten minutes, Remove the water and wash off once more..now put it in a mixer grinder jar. Add ginger, chillies and salt and also half cup water..grind well until it becomes a thick paste..don’t make it runny..just a thick smooth paste…you can add a little bit of water if its too thick..

Pour it into a bowl..and lets saute this delicious chana dal chuney with some added taste and flavor without which this delicious chutney is incomplete…

Take the same pan we used to roast lentil and peanuts..add oil into it..let it be hot..now add the mustard seeds and curry leaves..switch of the stove and put the oil with mustard seeds and curry leaves all over the chutney..mix well and serve this πŸ˜‹ yumm..

Boiled potato curry

Wow!!these are such cravings and super yummy…do you like potatoes??who doesn’t!! πŸ˜‹potatoes are one of our go to curry…simple, delicious and yummy…

This is one of the quickest boiled potato curry..if you have some boiled potatoes available in your kitchen..then don’t forget to try this delicious recepie and serve your family members and children..

Roll it with tortilla/chapati..mix it with rice..try it out the way you want to.. you will love the taste..

Lets make it quick

Ingredients first:-

1. 2 cups chopped boiled potatoes

2. 1 cup long chopped onions

3. 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes

4. 3 table spoon oil

5. 1 tea spoon chilly powder

6. 1/2 tea spoon turmeric

7. 1 table spoon lemon juice( optional)

8. 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves for flavor

9. 2 table spoon tomato catchup (optional)

9. Salt to taste

10. 1 table spoon cumin seed..(for some nutty warm flavor)


So, to make boiled potatoes curry…take a pan first..put it on high flame and let it be completely dry…add oil as listed above…let it be hot…add cumin seeds…let it be brown…now add chopped onions and coriander leaves…mix well until it turns soft brown…now add the chopped tomatoes…mix well and cook on medium flame until the tomatoes become soft…now add the chilly powder, turmeric powder, and salt…mix well…add boiled potatoes..mix using a flat spatula to avoid messing the potatoes…now add tomato catchup and lemon juice for some extra flavor and taste..

Switch of the stove after cooking the potatoes for just 2 minutes in low flame…serve hot.πŸ‘πŸ‘

Spinach/peas curry(palak matar)

Today I have come with a greens curry..the spinach greens with peas curry…isn’t this sounds super delicious…infact it tastes really good…full with vitamins and minerals..spinach greens are a must have in our diet…also it helps reducing cholesterol..so,why not trying out this healthy wealthy curry…after all health is wealth..on the other hand green peas are always a plus to our diet..as it is a great source of vitamin C and antioxidants…

Lets make this healthy curry quick..

1. 4 cups of chopped spinach greens leaves

2. 1 cup green peas

3. 1 table spoon ginger garlic paste

4. 2 green Chilly chopped finely

5. 1 cup whole milk

6. 2 table spoon oil

7. Salt to taste

Lets cook this delicious πŸ˜‹

Take a steel container to boil the spinach greens..put water into the container…wait until it starts to boil..add chopped spinach greens and 1/2 table spoon salt..boil for 5 to 7 minutes in high flame..switch off the stove…stain the water…keep the spinach greens aside for cooling down…

Now when the spinach are cooled down completely…grind it in a mixture grinder…make sure not to add water while grinding…make it a thick puree..

Take the same container to boil the green peas…avoid salt while boiling green peas…boil for 6 minutes…stain the water and keep the boiled peas aside..

Put a cooking pan on the stove…add oil..let it be hot..add ginger garlic paste…mix well…add chopped green Chilly…now add the spinach puree..mix well…add 1 cup milk..mix well.. let it boil..now add salt…stir good..add the boiled Greenpeas…cook for 3 minutes in low flame..switch off the stove and serve hot..

This is the simplest yet the most delicious and healthy recepie with very minimum ingredients easily available..

And here comes the season of moringa..As we know moringa are full of protein and omega 3 fatty acids..we must look forward to the recepies for this great stick like vegitable to add an extra health and nutrition to our diet…so the drumstick moringa curry tastes really delicious when cooked the right way…so here come with the Indian style drumstick moringa curry.

Back then I used to wonder how to cook this stick like vegitable and how it must be tasting…what spices to add and many more questions in my mind…but my mom made it easier for me to cook delicious drumstick moringa curry the right way, which is easy to cook and super delicious..If you like moringa and the natural peppery taste it serves…let’s enhance the taste a little bit by adding some spices and make it delicious..

So for making drumstick moringa curry the ingredients are..

1. 10 moringa sticks

2. 1 cup fresh tomato puree

3. 1 table spoon ginger garlic paste

4. 2 table spoon gram flour

5. 1 tea spoon red chilly powder

6. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

7.salt to taste

8. 3 table spoon oil

9. 1 tea spoon mustard seeds

Lets cook πŸ˜‹ this delicious drumstick moringa curry quick

Firstly peel all the moringa sticks using a peeler a little bit..so that the harder portion gets removed…cut it into 3 inches long pieces..wash off well…keep it aside

Take a pan..put it on high flame…let it be completely dry…add oil…let it be hot…add mustard seeds..wait until it starts poping..add ginger garlic paste into it..mix well ..now add the tomato puree into it…stir good..cook for 3 minutes in midium flame by stirring continuously…now add the gram flour, chilly powder and turmeric powder into it…mix well..cook for 3 to 4 minutes more in low flame…you will see the water content of tomato dries up…now add 3 tea cups of water and salt into it…stir well..let the mixture come to boiling point..when it starts to boil add the drumsticks into it…close the lid and cook in low flame until the drumstick becomes soft from inside…you can add more water if the curry becomes too dry..at the end of cooking the gravy of drumstick moringa curry must be semi thick…when it is cooked..switch off the stove and have this delicious curry with rice..

Chole chana masala(chickpeas curry)

Today I have come with a delicious recepie..the chickpeas curry famously called as chole chana masala in India…so delicious,yummy and high in diatery fiber…chickpeas are a must add-ons in our diet…The chickpeas curry is one of my favorite curry types..having its own creamy texture…it tastes great when combined with some spices..

Lets cook the yummy chole masala..

Ingredients first

Serving- 4 people

1. 2 cups of chickpeas

2. 2 finely chopped onions

3. 1 finely chopped tomatoes

4. 1 table spoon ginger garlic paste

5. 3 table spoon oil

6. 1 table spoon chole masala

7. 1 tea spoon red chilly powder

8. 2 table spoon coriander powder

1/2 tea spoon turmeric powder

9. 1 table spoon dried fenugreek leaves( kasturi methi)

10. Salt to taste

11. 1/2 tea spoon baking soda


To make chole chana masala..soak it into good amount of water 4 hours before cooking..

Now put the chickpeas into a pressure cooker, add 4 cups of water and the baking soda according to the ratio listed above…close the lid and let it whistle for 6 to 7 times to get the chickpeas cooked well ..let it be cool down…now stain the water using a stainer and keep the chickpeas aside..

Now let’s saute the chickpeas using spices to make the delicious chole chana masala/ chickpeas curry).

Take a dry pan..put it on high flame…add oil…let it be hot…add ginger garlic paste..mix well..now add chopped onions and tomato…mix well…cook in medium flame for 3 minutes…now add chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and dried fenugreek leaves into it..mix all the ingredients well…keep stirring for two minutes until the dry spices gets cooked and smells flavourful..now take half cup boiled chickpeas..mess it well and put it into the pan(pro tip.you can skip if you want to)..mix well..by putting 1/2 cup messed chickpeas..the chole chana masala tastes naturally creamy and delicious…now add all the remaining chickpeas..mix well…add 1 cup water…stir well..add salt to taste…let it come to boiling point…cook in low flame for 3 minutes..so that the chickpeas/chole absorbs spices well…when its done..switch of the stove and serve hot..

N now our delicious delicious chole chana masala is ready to eat and then repeat..

Zuzube pickle(ber achaar)

Hello everyoneπŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹pickles!!wow,I just love it..the salty spicey and sweet taste, just makes me go mmmm…its sooo delicious that I forgot to put an introduction infront of you all and started describing the yummmπŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

So, today I have come with a pickle recepie..The zuzube pickle which is called as ber ka achhar in India..and trust me its just mouthwatering..even while describing it I m craving for some more..

This is a oilfree pickle made with limited ingredients and this is awesome..πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ

In my childhood I used to eat soo much of this and my mom use to make this every year..also we used to store it jn a glass jar which never lasted for month because we used to complete it within a few daysπŸ˜ƒ

Les start making


1. 2 cups of dried ripen zuzube(ber)

2. 1 cup of jaggery

3. 1 and 1/2 table spoon of cumin powder

4. 1 table spoon of chilly powder

5. 2 to 3 dried chopped red chilly

6. 1 table spoon salt


Take a pan..put it on high flame..add 2 cups of water into it..now add the jaggery…mix well .let it come to the boiling point…when it starts to boil add the spices like, cumin powder, chilly powder, dried chilly and salt..mix well…boil it for two minutes..now add the zuzube into it..boil it in medium flame until the spices gets full absorbed…wait till the liquid content dries up and the mixture gets a sticky texture…at the end of cooking you will see the zuzube has become really soft ..swich of the stove and let it cool down…

Why to wait now..our zuzube pickle is fully ready to eat and repeat…πŸ‘

Atta ke laddu (wheat flour sugar balls)

Hii hello everyone..welcome back to my Indian food garden…today I have come up with an Indian traditional authentic dessert which is soo delicious as you can see in the picture..The atta ka laddu or if you redefine it then you an call it wheat flour sugar balls…atta is the Indian name of whole wheat flour and laddu means sugar balls..it is basically a winter sweets..my grandparents used to tell us that duing winter times atta ka laddu keeps our body warm..and we used to wait for this delicious dessert every winter..if you are willing to taste this delicious atta ke laddu then do follow the recepie below..the crunches of nuts inside makes it even more rich and yummy in taste..

And most importantly its an easy recepie..😍😍just a little effort is needed.


1. 2 cups whole wheat flour

2. 3/4 cup melted ghee(non salted butter)

3. 1 cup powdered sugar(grind the regular sugar)

4.50 g.m chopped almonds

5. 20 g.m raisins

6 1/2 tea spoon cardamom powder for flavor


Take a pan..put it on medium flame…let the pan be completely dry..now add ghee(butter) into it..let it be a little warm…now add the wheat flour into it..mix really well..cook in low flame for 5 minutes..now add the dry fruits like almonds and raisins into it so that the dry fruits also get roasted at the same time..stirr continuously until the flour turns golden brown..add cardamom powder and mix well for 1 minute more…the reason behind putting cardamom powder in the last is to let the flavor be fresh without overpowering the actual taste of laddus…now switch off the gas…keep the pan aside…keep stirring it between and let it be cool down…when it is completely cooled down..add the powdered sugar into it..mix well..make sure to cool down the flour completely before putting the sugar…because if we will put the sugar even into the warm mixture..it will melt and the texture of the laddus(balls)will not be the exact as it should be…

Now after mixing sugar really well…make round balls of around 1 and 1/2 inches and do try..

I m sure you are not gonna regret…its as delicious as it looks…
